DPD stands for Design.Print.Destroy! and is a class of combat robotics where robots weight only one pound! Students work in small teams to design, print, test, and compete their own BattleBot. In similar fashion to the flagship Robobrawl 30lb competition, teams will compete in DPD tournaments throughout the year. All teams of students from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are provided a set of electronics, specifics of which can be found in the Resources tab. Individuals are welcome to create their own robot, but no financial aid will be given.
Where is DPD? DPD meets every week on Thursday in Engineering Hall room 406B1, from 7:00-8:00 PM. Anyone and everyone, from all majors and colleges are welcome.
Who is DPD? In DPD, we highly encourage teamwork, but it is not required. You can come in with your own team, or we will match you with one.
